It is one of the metro stations in Tehran, located on Azadi Street at the intersection of Timuri Street. This station is situated at the junction of Lines 2 and 4 of the Tehran Metro. It has been named Azadi since the beginning of its operation; however, in August 2014, it was decided to change its name to Shadman due to the existence of a station called Maidan Azadi on the same line (Line 4), as the previous name could lead to confusion for passengers.
